Dave here with another round of fan submissions! This time around we have some excellent character art from sorakokiri, a nice wallpaper from Douhneill, two new tracks from Sailfish and yoshirocks11, and some enemy and character write-ups from CalixJumi.

I feel kinda weird giving props to all the people who submitted fan stuff, since I submitted one of them… Ah, to hell with it.
Nicely done, guys. We’ve got a lot of really talented people following what’s going on on this site (I’m kind of a moron to not realize this before).
Now, towards the staff, I gotta say thanks for checking out all the fan submissions. It’s a great feeling to know that you guys take the time to check out my stuff, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. We’re supporting you 100%, right here, from the sidelines, and fan submissions are just one way of letting it show.
To everyone: Keep up the good work! But don’t forget to take a break now and then!

@CalixJumi: The team attack suggestion was already used by M5_Annie for her Mother 5 fangame. Why suggest it again? e_e;

Also the team attack will change depend of how many backup characters (only the scout girls, who doesnt have HP) you have.

@CalixJumi: I’m not sure myself..but I really think it’s around the Starmen.net forums. Check around the Fan Games & Programs and try to look for a Mother 5 topic. If there is one, well..you’re just lucky. Try talking to her if you’re so desperate to find out who she is.

Just want to pop in and say that M5_annie’s Mother 5 Fangame is in no way associated with our game. Since everyone was making ‘Mother 4s’ on the board, she wanted to be different and make a ‘Mother 5′.

XD I love the way you draw, Nice Meryl and Chase drawings. I actually think they should use your Meryl character work as a sprite since it looks cool

Well done all of you. I especially like sorakokiri’s character concept sheets, Their very fun.
Yoshirocks11, I like your beat, though I can’t help thinking there should be something going over the top of it. It feels like the first 12 bars of this is setting up for something to go over the top, a technojazz melody to dance along with it.
Salifish, yours sounds really good, though I feel it has potential to evolve, as it is, it stays on the same kind of beat and mode all through, when it could potentially change and develop in to something truly inspiring. Don’t be afraid to experiment, play with it, I can’t help feeling that the first couple of seconds of it have defined the rest of the piece.
By the way guys, where do you get the software to make this music?
I myself have given up supplying compositions for this site since they lay unappreciated and unwanted. No one wanted or thought anything of them, so I saw no reason to create more. Besides, the mother 4 crew have made it quite clear that they feel able to take care of everything without outside influences contaminating their project and that there is absolutely no use for any of my work. I doubt any of the music makers even listened to it.
I await eagerly for this game to come out, I shan’t bother you again.

I for one like your stuff Enemy Lasagna, especially “Fountain of Mist”. If they don’t use your stuff it’s probably just because they want to keep a more unified sound to the soundtrack.

To Enemy Lasagna: of course we’ve listened, and it is very much appreciated and inspiring to all of us on the staff and fans all around.
But like some have said, we want to maintain continuity throughout the soundtrack. Its not about keeping our compositions from getting “contaminated.”
With several different composers in the mix, integrating ideas from the Mother series, all the music staff’s styles, AND fan music submissions would be quite a feet that is not impossible, but is not economical at this point in time (time is a precious, and we want to utilize it to its fullest potential).
I know we don’t say too much on this forum, but believe me when we say we appreciate the support.
So don’t be discouraged. Eat, drink, write music… be merry! You certainly know a bit about music. Share the brain, lest the wrath of Richard Simmons descend upon you.

Thanks for showing my concept art, and I promised I would send more so just today I did. Uhm I’m not here exactly to say just that. I feel very proud of you guys, all of the fans that submit stuff (awesome music btw, and the wallpaper is simple but a nice job indeed!) and of course, Chaisu and The Dave, Enemy, Snobodys…, with their team, are just amazing.
They are not only doing this for free, but they also spend their precious time to do this wonderful project and overall, letting fans help. Music, sprites, art, etc, are simple words but with a deep meaning. I will do whatever it takes to make this game see the light as it should: proudly, and magnificently. Just like previous MOTHER games.
Thanks to all of you, and thanks to Nintendo too.

This is great. The big message from the Mother series is friends helping one another out, isn’t it? This is the perfect way for a Mother game to be created.

Realising i’m a couple of days lat, but Enemy Lasagna, i certianly listened to your stuff. I never got the chance to properly comment on it, but it’s all increadibly well composed and constructed. You’ve bested me at the Piano by far, i can tell you that much. I can also sympithise to an extent about the feeling of nobody paying attention to the workd you do. Trust me, i’ve been there, done that, many times. But, trust me when i say your work has NOT gone ignored on this site.
Back on subject; being absent from the site for ages means i’ve become severely backlogged in updates. Something which i will need to sort out, when i get the chance. It all sounds extremely promising, however. I’m glad to see fan input as a whole is still going strong!

You know, community input is almost always the most fun way to make something. Bringing whatever you have to the table, and seeing it become a part of something great… I can’t wait ’till I start making my own little side projects for whatever.
On that note, how did this group start? I mean, how did all these people get to meet each other and start making something like this? And what’s it like to be working in this group? Would you recommend it to someone who’s interested?
Anyways, I’ve got full support for everyone who’s contributing to this site. You guys are all awesome, and you really have great talent at what you do. Keep using those god-given gifts. The world will never be the same.

At the moment we aren’t looking for more team members or anything like that. However, feel free to keep submitting fan stuff you make. We enjoy seeing what the fans can do.

I’d love to submit something else. Unfortunately, I can’t make my own art, I’m just really good at improvising something with photoshop, specifically with wallpapers. Ergo, I can’t make anything unless someone makes something I can ’steal’ first. Not that that’s the reason why I’m fired up whenever someone posts something, but it is something to note.
I’m (almost) always available, so let me know if you (ANYONE) has any (ANY) requests. I’ll see what I can do.
